The Design

Familiar company.
Room for everyday life.

You do not need a big problem, a diagnosis, or a goal to begin. Harumi is being shaped for the moments when a conversation could be useful, or simply welcome.

Invitation-only pilot. Subscriptions coming soon.

Everyday possibilities

Before the presentation

“I know the material. I just freeze when I start.”

Try an opening, practise a difficult question, or ask for honest feedback on your draft. A conversation gives you somewhere to rehearse without a public audience.

When you do not want to post it

“I need to say this somewhere. I’m not ready to tell someone I know.”

Put an unfinished thought into words without posting to a forum or explaining everything to family. You can ask for listening, another perspective, or simply a little space.

A conversation you want to begin

“How do I bring this up without making it awkward?”

Rehearse an introduction, think through a boundary, or draft a message in your own voice. You decide whether to use it outside the chat.

Everyday questions, without a life overhaul

“Can we think through my week?”

Talk about rest, movement, food routines, work, or money habits at a level you are comfortable sharing. Harumi can help organise questions and explore general information. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace qualified advice.

A companion, not a blank slate

Recognisable.
And more familiar with you.

A steady character gives you someone recognisable to return to. The details you choose to retain give the next conversation a place to begin. Your history with Nara stays distinct from your history with Yuki, even when you choose to share useful facts with both.

We’re designing room for initiative within a conversation: a thoughtful follow-up, another angle, or a return to something you wanted to revisit. A keepsake, a chosen name, or a small tradition can grow from those shared moments. None is a task, a score, or a reason you have to keep returning.

A hello, when you want one

A little initiative.
Always your choice.

Outside a conversation, check-ins are a separate choice and stay off until you ask for them. Choose the times that suit you, change your mind, or cancel. A morning hello, a reminder you requested, or a question to pick up later should fit your day, not ask you to arrange your day around Harumi.

Requested reminders use their own permission and work with check-ins off. Proactive contact is capped across both companions; time away never triggers guilt or a flood of messages.

Why the web

A quick thought on your phone.
A longer one at your desk.

A browser gives you a way to open Harumi on a phone or a computer without installing another app. A small screen suits a quick exchange; a keyboard leaves room for longer thoughts. The web is our starting point for making the same conversation space easier to reach.

A little more presence

Another way to
know them.

A character’s voice begins in how they write: what they notice, how they answer, and when they leave room for silence. Words give your imagination space without needing a picture or a sound.

Avatars and occasional voice come later, as familiarity grows and only if you choose them. They are not available at the start; paid generation still depends on eligibility, consent, and safety. You can leave either off throughout. A familiar conversation does not need a picture or a sound.

Share less, if you prefer

Useful context does not
need your whole identity.

You can say “a difficult meeting” without naming your employer, or discuss a spending habit without sharing account numbers. Ordinary details can still be personal, so choose what feels appropriate and leave out secrets and other people’s private information.

Sharing more is never a requirement for kindness, familiarity, or a better class of care.
